Radio Christian Voice (RCV), in partnership with Remmon Events, has launched the RCV Music Awards (RCVMAs), which will take place on November 30th 2024.
Speaking at the launch, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe says this event marks a significant milestone in the country’s cultural and artistic landscape, celebrating the exceptional talent of Zambian gospel artists.
In a speech read on his behalf by the Director-Human Resources and Administration, Mr Lemmy Kafwamfwa, the Permanent Secretary, encouraged artists to continue creating music with meaningful lyrics that will inspire and unite the nation.
Speaking at the same event, Radio Christian Voice Country Manager Wongel Banda says the awards are designed to empower Christian artists through the recognition of their talent, hard work, and contribution to spreading the gospel.
Mrs Banda explains that the awards are also meant to contribute to pioneering, promoting, and improving standards of Christian excellence.
She adds that by awarding those who are making great strides, as well as recognizing up and coming artists with promising talent, the RCV Music Awards will play a crucial role in the growth of gospel music.
