Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba has underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to elevating the tourism sector as a key driver of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Mr. Sikumba emphasized the challenging circumstances facing Zambia, exacerbated by a drought that has adversely impacted sectors such as Agriculture and Energy.
In light of these challenges, Mr Sikumba said the Ministry is poised to play a pivotal role in revitalizing the economy.
Addressing attendees at the launch of four new Brothers mocktail varieties by Big Tree Beverages in Lusaka, the Minister highlighted the importance of promoting Zambia’s tourism industry among its citizens.
He commended Big Tree for introducing the mocktails, recognizing their significant contribution to enhancing the beverage sector within the tourism industry.
Mr Sikumba said the launch of these mocktails aligns with the government’s strategic objectives for the sector.
The newly introduced Brothers mocktails are available in four distinct flavors: Mojito, Strawberry Lime Crisp, Cosmo, and Pina Colada, offering a diverse range of options to cater to varying tastes and preferences.
Speaking earlier, Trade Kings Public Relations Manager Bridget Kambobe, said the decision to introduce the mocktails was influenced by a positive response to the Brothers Mixer from the younger demographic.
Ms Kambobe further emphasized that these new beverages would make a valuable addition to the country’s hospitality industry, contributing to its overall growth and appeal.
