Our team comprises of a diverse blend of youthful and highly versatile members who bring a wealth of experience from the fields of Broadcasting, Media Marketing, Information Technology, Social Media Marketing and Audio Creative Production.
CEO & Founder: Kenny Tonga -Actor, Radio & TV Personality, Business Entrepreneur.
A journalist by profession, he is a young and vibrant broadcaster who for over twenty years has carved his professional career by excelling at his work.
He has worked with reputable radio stations in Zambia and Tanzania at low and high management levels
before he founded his own companies.
He is the founder and CEO of POWER FM 91.3 and Co-Founder and Shareholder of YAR FM 87.9, Copperbelt’s Feel Good Station based in Kitwe, Zambia.
Kenny Tonga is past President of the Alliance Francaise de Lusaka and because of his artistic versatility, entrepreneurship and ingenious experience in the media industry; he was noticed and profiled by CNN’s Inside Africa in March 2013…and through marketing and public relations initiatives, he continually seeks to build and strengthen the POWER FM Brand.

His efforts have culminated into a long standing partnership with the Lusaka Happening Motor Show from its 5th edition held in May 2013 to its 9th edition held in May 2017, during which POWER FM has been the exclusive media partner.
Furthermore, Power FM was also the Official Big Brother Africa -The Chase 2013 Radio
Partner in Zambia.

NEWSROOM
The Newsroom is the central place where journalists, reporters, editors, along with other staffers—work to gather news for our online audience as well as generate news stories for our three (3) main news bulletins of the day for radio broadcast.
The Power FM News room also receives news items from our corresponding bureaus in Kabwe, Kitwe and Livingstone allowing for in-depth coverage of mining and tourism news items, thus surpassing most of our competition in terms of local news content.
Designed and conceptualized to deliver unique multispectral content of both local and international interest, the Power FM 91.3 main bulletins are scheduled to air three times in a day, at 6:30am, 12:00 and 17:45, with accompanying News headlines at 10:00am, 14:00 and 16:00 respectively.
